TOYOTA LAUNCHES UPGRADED ECHO SEDAN
Toyota has launched a new Echo sedan, with revised styling and improved fuel economy, active safety and comfort.
The upgraded Echo sedan has new metal from the firewall forward, for a more integrated look.
It also has a new front bumper, radiator grille, multi-reflector headlamps, tail lamps, boot lid, rear bumper and wheel caps.
Echo sedan’s fuel economy has been improved by up to six percent.
Echo’s 1.5-litre VVTi-equipped engine has been recalibrated to deliver 5.8 litres/100km (48.7mpg) economy on the AS2877 city cycle with manual transmission and 6.4 litres/100km economy (44.0mpg) with automatic transmission.
Power steering is standard equipment, to optimise driver comfort and convenience.
Security and convenience have been improved by adopting remote power door locks.
Five new exterior colours have been adopted, including an advanced sporty colour “Slate” to appeal to younger buyers.
The other new colours are Quicksilver, Warrior Red, Almond Ice and Aqua Ice.
The Echo sedan has a new interior treatment, new colours, new trim and a new audio with CD player as standard.
The interior improvements include a new look for the instrument panel, heater control panel, ventilation outlets, digital meter display, steering wheel and manual gearshift lever.
The front passenger seat tray located on the dashboard has been enlarged.
Toyota has increased Echo sedan’s value by reducing model variations and adding features.
All Echo sedans now have CD player, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 60/40 split-fold rear seat, keyless power door locks and a passenger’s vanity mirror.
The new upgraded Echo sedan has revised styling inclusing new front bumper, radiator grille, multi-reflector headlamps, tail lamps, boot lid, rear bumper and wheel caps.
