TOYOTA SKID STEER OWNER CHASES HALF CENTURY
Australia's largest individual owner of Toyota skid steer loaders is poised to make its 50th Toyota purchase.
Brisbane-based P&E Francis Plant Hire has purchased 48 Toyota skid steer loaders in the last 15 years.
It currently operates 25 Toyota skid steers, as part of a comprehensive fleet of civil construction and earthmoving machines.
Company manager Nev Shelley said the two key factors in his company's long Toyota association were machine reliability and service back-up from Queensland distributor Willtrac.
"The Toyota skid steers were and are well balanced, comfortable and easy to operate, and required little more than regular maintenance in the first 6000 hours," he said.
"Operators come off other machines and become proficient on the Toyotas in a very short time.
"Importantly, we have the service back-up of Willtrac - it has good staff in the service and customer support areas."
P& E Francis Plant Hire has the full range of Toyota skid steers - "mini" 4SDK3, the mid-size 4SDK5 and the most popular, the 4SDK8.
The company's 25 Toyota skid steers are based at Wacol in Brisbane.
P&E Francis has more than 25 years experience in plant hire.
The company provides a full plant hire range to cater for the 80 percent of its business involved in civil construction work with large contractors.
It also supplies machines for domestic home and pool construction through to major building projects, boulder-wall construction, landscaping and concreting.
"We plan to buy our 50th Toyota skid by the end of the financial year," Mr Shelley said.
"Last year, when the construction industry was run off its feet, we bought six skid steers in eight weeks."
The most recent machines have been purchased with a special industry bonus on the Toyota 4SDK8 model.
As members of the Housing Industry Association (HIA), P&E Francis Plant Hire is entitled to the exclusive Toyota/HIA buyers' premium bonus. This bonus is available on the 4SDK8 skid steer, plus a selected range of Toyota forklift, passenger and commercial vehicles.
