TOYOTA UNVEILS NEW REACH TRUCK AT MHD

Toyota’s breakthrough reach truck has made its Australian debut at the Materials Handling and Distribution Exhibition in Sydney’s Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre.
The stand-up model Toyota 7FBR was one of the highlights of Toyota’s “Australia’s No.1 Selling Forklift Brand” display.

Toyota’s 7FBR range of 1.0 to 1.8 tonne capacity models is the first stand-up reach truck range in the world with stable suspension control.

Toyota uniquely offers stable suspension control (also known as Toyota’s System of Active Stability - SAS) on all its 7-Series forklifts.

Features of the Toyota 7FBR range also include traction control, all-wheel braking, electronic brake force distribution to allow for fore/aft load distribution, AC control and the option of a multi-function lever to control all movement of the forks.

Toyota’s exhibit at MHD 2001 also featured the company’s safety award winning swing-down LPG-bottle bracket, fitted to a 2.5 tonne payload 7FG25 forklift.

Toyota's swing down LPG bottle bracket is now available as a Toyota Genuine accessory. It was previously available only as a fitment on a new Toyota forklift.

The Toyota LPG-bottle bracket was last year named “Best Occupational Health and Safety Solution to a Workplace Problem” in the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission awards.

Toyota developed the swing-down bracket for its breakthrough 7-Series forklift trucks to provide for easier bottle changing.

Toyota is Australia’s top-selling forklift brand. It has led sales in the Australian market every year since 1987.

A 7FB25 battery electric forklift and a five-tonne capacity 7FDA50 forklift were also on display at the Materials Handling and Distribution Exhibition.

In addition to the forklifts and reach trucks, Toyota also displayed two “Huski” skid-steer loaders and two models from its extensive commercial vehicle range - a new Dyna II 5500 truck and a HiAce van.
